Even Pegman takes a vacation. He is resting deep beneath the ground where no light can penetrate, let alone wifi. He shall return next week.

I’m still wondering whether to take this at face value. Is Pegman really taking a break or is someone, possibly armed with a whittling knife, holding him somewhere for ransom? Maybe this is just an alternative prompt?

I wish I could, but my flash fiction get-up-and-go got up and went a few weeks ago and is refusing to come back. Lots going on at the moment and writing has taken a back seat. Hoping to resume normal service soon. Enjoy your own break.

I’m just concerned that he’s been captured by an Al-Queda splinter group. If so, we have an exfiltration unit including V-22 Ospreys standing by and ready to move in if need be. Aircraft are in the air, armed with the latest hypersonic, kinetic kill weapons to smash any opposition to the exfil team. We’re here if you need us, Pegman!
