A couple side notes:

  1. I was suggested this location by a new friend I met at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival. Though originally from Iran, she’s now a journalist elsewhere. She was interested in how people perceive a place they’ve never been. With people from all over the world participating in this prompt, I thought it might be fun for her to see how her hometown inspires others. (Also seriously hoping she joins us–did you hear that Ladane? 😉 )
  2. My apologies for not getting to everyone’s prompts in a timely fashion for the past two weeks. First I was traveling, and then I was attending a workshop. I expect to be back on track this week!
