What Pegman Saw: Frankfurt, Germany

Hello friends! This week Pegman takes us to Frankfurt, Germany. Germany is unique among European countries in that there is very little streetview. Hover your Pegman over the map of Germany and you’ll see what I mean. I picked this particular spot because I loved the juxtaposition of old and new architecture.

The Pegman challenge is to write up to 150 words inspired by the week’s location. You can use the image supplied with the prompt, or visit Frankfurt yourself via Google maps and find your own view.

I hope you brought your hiking boots because this week Pegman takes us to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, United States. The Grand Canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and wonder of wonders you can actually hike into the canyon via streetview. There are also photo spheres across various locations.

The virtual hikes aren’t immediately obvious on google maps, but when you zoom in, you can hike Bright Angel Trail, South Kaibab Trail, Grandview Trail, or even visit the Phantom Ranch

When I’m not hosting Pegman, working on my latest novel, or ubering my kids to all parts, I’m an editor over at 101words.org. We’re currently in search of good storytellers, and I know Pegman has them.

If you’d like to submit a 101 word story, I’d love to hear from you! I know there are so many talented storytellers who share their work here on Pegman.
