What Pegman Saw: Tel Saki, Syria

This week, Pegman takes us to the cradle of civilization: Tel Saki, Syria.  The country has been at war longer than Pegman has been mapping, so the pictures are confined to photo sphere and often feature shattered lands and cityscapes.

Your task is to write a 150-word story inspired by any of the photos you find of this fascinating region. As always, have fun and do your best.

    I found the Battle of Tel Saki during the 1973 Yom Kippur war but didn’t find “the cradle of civilization.
