Safe and well. The daycare ctr I work at is virtually gone. Large Oak came down and nearly split it in half. Of the ten or so 100+ yr old pines that circled the front lawn, only one remains. The owner and 2 littles went to the basement (only room not damaged) when the first rains came. All are well. Thank God!

Okay, I just couldn’t resist as the photos reminded me of the opening of a novel I wrote some years ago. Was going to copy/paste that opening but alas the files are long since gone. So, I wrote something new and tragic, or is it?
